Coach/Club Wanted Ads
The Stuart Lake Figure Skating Club and the Nechako Figure Skating Club are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated coach for the communities of Fort St. James and Vanderhoof in the heart of British Columbia for the upcoming 2012/13 season.
This position involves coaching approximately 60 skaters in the CanSkate, StarSkate and Competitive programs as well as leading an off-ice program.
Our season runs from mid-October until mid-March. The successful candidate must be willing to commute between the 2 communities which are approximately 45 minutes apart. The clubs will work with the successful candidate to develop a program that maximizes benefits to skaters at both clubs. This position will require approximately 15 hours per week, shared between both clubs. Both clubs consist of a large group of primary-level skaters, and a small coaching team.
Requirements:
·CanSkate or NCCP Level 1 certified or higher with valid First Aid
·Membership (or ability to obtain membership) with Skate Canada
·Enthusiastic about teaching CanSkate
·Ability to bring new and innovative ideas to our clubs
·Willingness to lead any/all club programs on and off-ice
