SFSC is accepting applications for a Club Coach for 2011/2012 Season Sept-April. The following is a list of qualifications we are looking for:
- 1/ NCCP Level 1 certified or higher
- 2/ Must be a registered /certified Skate Canada Coach
- 3/ Enthusiastic
- 4/ Motivated
- 5/ Organized
- 6/ Willing to work with all of our club programs: CanSkate, StarSkate, Pre-Junior/Senior programs.
- 7/ Be able to teach all levels of skaters up to and including competitive levels.
- 8/ Be able to work with other coaches, parents, volunteers and the SFSC Board members.
The Smithers Figure Skating Club has approx 70 skaters in various programs. This is a great opportunity for an up and coming coach wanting to gain experience in a small club setting (we can offer a limited amount of mentoring to assist in the expansion of your knowledge, if needed), or for a veteran coach wanting to settle down in a smaller community with an established club.
