Situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, the Sparwood and Elkford Skating Clubs are just 20 minutes apart, and have teamed up to create an amazing opportunity for a Head Coach and additional coaching staff for the 2018/2019 season and beyond.

The Winter season begins in late September and runs through mid-March, and during this period the clubs have afternoon/evening ice Monday through Friday, with some additional early mornings, totaling 25 hours per week. The Sparwood club also runs a two-week Fall Camp (5 days/week) in September, as well as a 4-week Spring Camp (5 days/week) from mid-March to mid-April.

In addition to great hourly rates, both clubs offer monthly retainers and compensation for administrative duties. On top of these competitive salary packages, the clubs are offering successful candidate(s) accommodation and relocation assistance and compensation.

Both Clubs have 60 skaters each, offering Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate and StarSkate programs, and are interested in developing other areas to meet community demand, including CanPowerSkate and skating classes for adults. There has been great development and programming in both clubs to date, so skaters have excellent basic skills already in place for a new coaching staff to build upon.

Candidates should be at least Primary STARSkate certified and be a coach in good standing with Skate Canada.

For more information on both communities please visit the local websites at http://www.sparwood.ca/ and http://www.elkford.ca/.
