Coach/Club Wanted Ads
This is a small club, with a big heart, that takes prides in low skater to coach ratios and high quality, well rounded programs, in Taylor BC, 15 minutes South of Fort St. John. We are currently looking for a Level 2 or higher Skating Coach to join our coaching team for the 2011/2012 season.
Qualifying attributes include:
- Current Skate Canada Certification, first aid, and criminal record check
- Experience Coaching High Dance Levels; Diamond Dance an asset Experience partnering all levels of Dance
- Experience coaching Adult and Special O programs, an asset
- Dedicated to the sport of figure skating
- Motivated team player with exceptional communication skills to work with staff, skaters, parents, and volunteer executive members
- Mentoring qualities to help assist new entry level coaches, an asset
Peace Passage Skating Club runs programs five days a week, from September through March. This past year we had nine full-time Sr. StarSkaters, six Intermediate StarSkaters, and eight Jr. Skaters, as well as programs for Hockey CanSkate, CanSkate, Preschool CanSkate, and Power Skating. Many of our Sr. StarSkaters have been graduating with Gold Levels in the past few years.
Your primary duties would be as a part-time freelance coach with private lessons in the StarSkate Programs. You will be team coaching with our 2 current full-time coaches. Days and times are negotiable, with-in our ice allocation.
