The Sun Bowl Skating Club in beautiful Osoyoos, BC is looking for a Skate Canada Registered Coach, minimum certification NCCP Level l or higher who is able to coach all disciplines including freeskate, skills and dance. Our season runs from the beginning of September to the end of March with a Spring School in April and Summer School in August. There is approximately 13 hours of ice time per week during the winter season.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organized coach to start September 2011. The successful candidate would be the Club Coach and would be responsible for coaching approximately 60 skaters ranging from Canskate to Senior Starskate and possibly CanPower and Adult Skate. An hourly remuneration will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience plus a monthly retainer, statutory holidays and holiday pay. Other benefits may apply in the form of training allowances, etc.
Osoyoos and area has a population of approximately 6,500 located in the heart of Canada's only desert. Summers are hot and winters are mild with little snow accumulation. Located on the warmest lake in Canada, Osoyoos has lots to offer whether you're looking for recreational opportunities, retail services, or just quiet time, we are fast becoming a 4 season resort.
