Guest Speakers:

Norm Proft

As a lifelong participant, Norm has worn many hats in our sport. Currently Skate Canada’s Competition Services Director, he is a former member of Canada’s National Team and former Junior Men’s Champion of Canada. As a coach, he had the opportunity to work with some of Canada’s best coaches, serving as assistant to both Richard Gauthier and Manon Perron. He currently dedicates countless hours at competitions as a tech rep, qualified technical controller, technical specialist and STAR 1 – 5 official. Finally, as a proud skating parent, Norm also happily serves as a volunteer within his home club.

Norm will be presenting on Strategic planing which is perceived as boring, unnecessary or even intimidating. Why not make it fun? Join us for this interactive workshop where we will help you think about strategic planning differently. Effective strategic planning focuses the energy, resources and time of everyone in your club/skating school to create the best skating environment for your customers. We encourage club board members, coaches, administrators and those assisting in the clubs and skating schools to attend.
