Spring Super Series Competitive Requirements

As several of the changes taking effect July 1, 2014 affect choreography, and many coaches are already designing new programs for skaters based on these new rules, the following procedures will be in effect for Super Series Vancouver Island and Super Series Victoria Day: 

Singles:

Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile Women and Men

  • May skate programs according to 2013/2014 OR 2014/2015 requirements.

  • All spins will continue to be called either Base or No Level.

  • Pre-Novice and Novice Women

  • May skate programs according to 2013/2014 OR 2014/2015 requirements.

  • In the free program, all spiral sequences and choreographic sequences will be identified as spiral sequences and receive a level of Base or No Level.

    Pre-Novice and Novice Men

  • May skate programs according to 2013/2014 requirements or 2014/2015 requirements.

  • In the free program, all step sequences and choreographic sequences will be identified as step sequences and receive a level of Base or No Level.

  • 2014/2015 Short Program requirements for Pre-Novice Men apply as per BC/YK Policy.

    Junior and Senior Singles

  • No deductions will be applied for music that contains vocals.

  • 2014/2015 Short Program requirements for Junior Women and Men apply as per BC/YK Policy

    Pairs:
    Pre-Juvenile and Juvenile Pairs

• May skate programs according to 2013/2014 OR 2014/2015 requirements.

Pre-Novice and Novice Pairs

  • May skate programs according to 2013/2014 OR 2014/2015 requirements.

  • In the free program, all step sequences and choreographic sequences will be identified as step sequences and receive a level of Base or No Level.

  • 2014/2015 Short Program requirements for Pre-Novice Pairs and Novice Pairs apply as per BC/YK Policy.

    Junior and Senior Pairs

  • No deductions will be applied for music that contains vocals.

  • 2014/2015 Short Program requirements for Junior Pairs apply as per BC/YK Policy
