Assistant Coach

Located in the heart of the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, the Sparwood Skating Club  is looking for a positive, energetic coach who is willing to work as a team to support the growth of our Club for the remaining 2021/2022 season and beyond.

Regular season begins in September and runs through March. Our programs include PreCanSkate, CanSkate, STARSkate with potential for Adult/Teen Skate and Power Skate. We offer skating 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) from September until March or April (under the discretion of the District of Sparwood). 

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a team-coaching environment
• Must be in good standing with Skate Canada
• Minimum of CanSkate Coach level preference given to Regional Coach certified or higher
• Must be available for 3:30pm start times as well as 6:30am morning skate sessions
• CANPOWER certification an asset
• Ability to attend competitions, seminars, assist with Ice Show planning and choreography as required.
