Job description: 

The Abbotsford Skating Club is looking to immediately add another positive & enthusiastic member to our coaching team.  Our rapidly growing club skates out of MRC arena in Abbotsford BC. We offer Fall/Winter, Spring and Summer ice, totalling 47 weeks of skating.  

 

Our programs include Pre-CanSkate, Adult learn to skate, CanSkate, CanPower, Skate & Star Academy, Starskate, and Competitive level skating as well as off ice classes.

 

We are seeking a highly energetic and motivated individual who will complement our current team. The successful candidate needs to be be Canskate certified in the new system, NCCP level 1 and Certified in the new Star 1-5 Testing system. The applicant must be registered with Skate Canada, have a valid first aid certificate, and provide a criminal record check.

 

The Abbotsford Skating Club does not operate under a Director of Skating. Although each coach is their own person, All coaches work together with the Board of Executives to build a higher level of achievement with all our skaters and our Club.

 

The successful candidate will become a Club Coach where they will be required to teach our two main group programs and must be willing to teach on all private sessions currently offered as well as some Off Ice Classes.

 

Currently our club skates Monday to Saturday. Our sessions remain the same from season to season with the exception of Summer. To get a break down of our sessions please visit our website or email for more information.
