The Nelson Skating Club is committed to providing high quality programming in Nelson, BC. The Club is looking to hire a Regional Certifed Coach. Club programming ranges from CanSkate to STARSkate and Adult Learn to Skate with additional programming possible. This position involves some administrative work so working knowledge of Uplifter is an asset. Qualified applicants should descsrive their passion for the sport and the contributions they can make towards a fun, safe environment for skaters of all abilities.
Qualifications:
1. NCCP Level 1 or higher
2. CanSkate and Regional Coach Certified
3. Familiar with the new STAR 1-5 test program
The candidate must share the team teaching philosophy and be able to share skaters development and teaching with the other coaches.
