Ron Vincent has lived in skating for the past 70 years as an athlete, performer, coach, administrator and artistic director. The value this gentlemen has provided to our sport and organization cannot be over stated. It may have been a quiet contribution…..but it was also massive in its impact.
Ron’s great contributions to coaching in Canada began in 1967 – 68 when he played a key role in creating the first coaching education course for figure skating in Canada. He served on the Board of the Professional Skating Association later to be called the Figure Skating Coaches of Canada and served as President of the Association in 1979 and 1980.
Skater…artist…performer….director ….educator….all of these aspects made Ron Vincent a major contributor to skating in British Columbia and Canada. He is a gentlemen and a true professional.
