We are pleased to announce that we will be offering the monitoring program again this year from November 1-3, 2019. Registration is now open! The deadline for registration is Sunday, September 15, 2019.

This year we will again feature Nancy Alexander. She is an NCCP Level 4 coach, working with the Gold Ice Organization. Nancy brings with her many years of expertise and success at both the national and international level. Under her guidance, Nancy's teams have been on the national podium several times and have won 5 consecutive Novice national titles. In 2014, she coached Les Pirouettes Junior to a 5th place finish at the ISU World Junior Challenge Cup. A leader in the sport of synchronized skating, Nancy delivers several seminars each year across the country. In addition to coaching both singles skaters and synchronized skating teams, Nancy is a Kinotherapist and works with high performance athletes including Olympians. Nancy will be consulting with our coaches and teams on choreography, performance, and interpretation.

The monitoring will be structured similar to last season with live technical feedback and judge feedback. Following the feedback, the remainder of the session will involve Nancy working directly with the coach on the team's program. We will be offering a follow up monitoring session (included in the price below and only for teams that participate in the initial November monitoring) at the BC/YK Synchro Competition on December 7, 2019. This will include ten minutes of live technical and judge feedback following the competition. Please note, only teams who attend the initial monitoring will receive this follow up feedback.

Also new for this year on Friday evening is additional ice time focused on coaches development. This interactive session with Nancy Alexander will include tips and tricks on skill development demonstrated by the Lower Mainland Synchro Junior Team. Aaron Lowe, International Ice Dance Coach, will provide a session on skating skills and footwork. Officials are encouraged to attend the Friday night session as well! The Friday night session is open to all coaches as a learning opportunity. Registration for the Friday night Coach session is to be completed separately for each Coach.
