The Cloverdale Skating Club is Hiring!


The Cloverdale Skating Club is seeking a passionate, energetic, and enthusiastic coach to join our team starting September 2026.


Positions include:

Part-Time Club Coach

Junior STARSkate Coordinator


The Cloverdale Skating Club is a rapidly growing organization that operates under a highly successful team coaching model led by our Director of Programs. We pride ourselves on providing a collaborative, professional, and positive coaching environment, along with competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and a supportive coaching

team.


The club operates 47 weeks per year out of the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex (Monday– Friday) and the Cloverdale Arena (Saturday). We have about 26 hours of ice and approximately 7 hours of coach led off ice classes per week.


Our club programs include:

CanSkate/Pre-CanSkate – Three days per week during the Fall, Winter, and Spring, and two days per week during the Summer.

Junior STARSkate – Two days per week, year-round.

STAR Academy- 2 Days Per week, year-round.

STAR Competition- Levels 2-Gold- 6 Days per week

Pond Pathway Singles- 6 Days per week

With the addition of a third ice surface in 2027, there will be exciting opportunities for continued program growth and leadership within our club.


Junior STARSkate Coordinator Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of our Junior STARSkate program.

• Be available to work all Junior STARSkate sessions

• Deliver programs in accordance with Skate Canada standards.

• Provide leadership and mentorship within a collaborative coaching environment.

• Work closely with the Director of Programs and coaching team to ensure consistent, high-quality programming.

• Support the continued growth and development of grassroots skating within the club.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• A positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.

• A creative approach to program delivery.

• A passion for grassroots skating and athlete development.

• The ability to work effectively within a team coaching environment.


Regional Coach Certified (or higher) is preferred; however, experienced and committedcoaches who are passionate about coaching are encouraged to apply.


Compensation

• Coaching rate: $35–$70 per hour, based on NCCP certification, coaching experience, and personal achievements.

• Junior STARSkate Coordinator stipend: up to $250 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

• The Cloverdale Skating Club complies with all Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements, including:

◦ Five paid sick days per year

◦ Vacation pay

◦ Minimum daily pay requirements
