Delta Skating Club is Growing - Join our Coaching Team!

Position: Full-Time Provincial or Higher Coach

Location: Delta, British-Columbia

Delta Skating Club is excited to expand our coaching team! We're looking for a passionate, motivated, and team-oriented Provincial or higher coach to join us full-time. Our club offers programs from CanSkate, STARSkate, and Podium Pathway with over 400 Skate Canada members. Other programs we also offer are Synchronized Skating and Pairs. As a coaching team we focus on building confidence, skill, and a lifelong love for skating.

Where We Coach:

-Fall / Winter: South Delta Recreation Centre & Ladner Leisure Centre

-Spring / Summer: Tilbury Ice

Position Details:

-Hourly rate between $40-$70/hour (depending on qualifications).

-Fall / Winter Season: Up to 22-27 hours per week.

-Spring / Summer: Up to 26-30 hours per week.

-Year-round coaching opportunities with the potential for growth.

Responsibilities:

-Coach skaters from STAR 1-Gold and Podium Pathway skaters on and off the ice.

-Available to Coach on CanSkate and Rising Stars Academy (if needed).

-Prepare skaters for assessments, competitions, and seasonal events.

-Communicate effectively with the director, parents, skaters, and coaches.

Qualifications:

-Minimum Provincial Trained status (if not, competitive history will be considered). 

-Current Skate Canada registered coach in good standing (or proof of steps towards it).

-Experience coaching STARSkate and Podium Pathway skaters.

-Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

-Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
