The Maple Ridge Skating Club is seeking experienced professionals to fill part-time vacanciea within our club assisting primarily with our CanSkate, off-ice technical development, and STARSkate programs. Skate Canada certified Regional or higher certified coach(es) with strong CanSkate experience is preferred.

Ice Times:

Our programs are schedule Monday to Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings from September to March, and Monday to Friday afternoons from April to June.

Responsibilities:

• Provide coaching to skaters across different age groups and skill levels.

• Work collaboratively with other coaches using a team coaching approach to design and implement training programs

• Run both on-ice and off-ice training sessions, focusing on technical elements such as jumps, spins, footwork, choreography, and physical conditioning.

• Evaluate skaters’ performance, offering feedback and coaching to support skill development and address areas for growth.

• Maintain strong, clear communication with skaters, parents, and the board to coordinate training schedules, competition planning, and progress updates.

• Stay informed on current policies, guidelines, and initiatives from Skate Canada.

• Maintain current First Aid and CPR Certification

Wages:

$25-55/hr – dependent upon certification level and experience
