Congratulations to Gail Weber - Fort St. John Community Sport Hero Award Recipient

Long-time Skate Canada BC/YT Section volunteer Gail Weber has been recognized with the Fort St. John Community Sport Hero Award!

Gail has dedicated over 40 years to the sport of figure skating, volunteering at every level—club, regional, provincial, national, and international. Her extensive experience and leadership have made her an invaluable resource to skating clubs across Northern B.C., where she is known for helping them navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. Having worn many hats throughout her volunteer career, Gail brings a unique depth of knowledge and passion to everything she does.

Remarkably, Gail was nominated for the Community Sport Hero Award twice—not only for her contributions to figure skating but also for her work with KidSport North Peace, leading the volunteer committee as chair since the chapter’s inception in 1999!
