Skate Canada BC/YT Section New Staff Announcement

I am excited to announce the newest additions to the BC/YT Section Staff as we continue to grow and enhance the support to our skating community.

Steve Muff - Director of Technology and Production Services

I am pleased to welcome Steve to the team in an enhanced role, bringing with him extensive experience in both technology and production. Steve’s expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that competitions throughout the Section continue to be professionally live streamed, while also supporting the ever-evolving technology needs across the Section.

With a strong background in club operations, Steve has served as the Director of Skating at Mt. Boucherie SC for the past 26 years. Additionally, his work as an ISU Data Input/Video Replay Operator over the past 20 years has provided him with in-depth knowledge of the sport of figure skating.

Steve’s combined technical and sport-specific expertise will be a valuable asset to the Section, and we are confident he will play a pivotal role in supporting and advancing key initiatives.

Laurene Collin-Knoblauch - High Performance Advisor

Laurene brings a deep passion for working with skaters and coaches, along with a proven track record delivering high-performance programming. In her new role with the BC/YT Section, she will focus on Podium Pathway programming, supporting strong skater-coach relationships and driving exceptional performance outcomes.

As a certified National Level coach and ISU Technical Specialist, Laurene brings both technical expertise and strategic insight to the team. Laurene will work in a hybrid model, supporting coaches and athletes remotely and providing in-person support during key periods of the competitive season.

Please join me in welcoming Steve and Laurene to the team!
