Brian Pound has covered figure skating as a writer and been involved as a volunteer in our sport for 64 years. The first event Brian covered was the 1958 BC Coast Championships.

As Brian did not know much about the sport at the time, he was able to get some help from very special people. People like Guy Nick, who take one of his students and go over different skills. The paper even assigned Alex Fulton to provide him with guidance for the articles. The different people and talent he saw is what made Brian fall in love with the sport.

When Brian was not behind the scenes covering content and writing articles, he was always supporting the sport as a volunteer. The loyalty and dedication Brian has shown to our sport and organization over the years is why he is being inducted as a Builder into the BC/YT Section Hall of Fame.
