Job Description
Maple Ridge Skating Club is looking for a part-time CanSkate Coach to join our team.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual, who supports team-coaching approach and is committed to professional growth with the Club. We focus on providing high quality instruction in a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment. The Club operates year round, with programs running 6 days a week for Fall/Winter Season, 5 days a week for Spring Season, and 3 days a week during Summer Season. The Club operates out of Planet Ice arena in Maple Ridge, BC and Pitt Meadows Arena.
Qualifications:
NCCP CanSkate Certified Coach (preferred, in-training is also acceptable) in good standing with Skate Canada
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all ages and abilities, including skaters, parents, other coaches, and Club’s Board members
- Punctuality, great organizational skills and willingness to work collaboratively to support Club’s operations and effectively deliver programs
- Creativity and enthusiasm to motivate and support skaters in their progress throughout Club’s programs
- Interest in and commitment to promote Club’s growth and development
